Newsletter 20th May 2011 We celebrated 'Parents' Appreciation Day' in conjunction with our 'Annual Sports- Happy Family Fun Day' and 'Children's Creative Art Exhibition' on Sunday 15th May 2011. On 'Parents Appreciation Day', we honour parents for their unconditional love, guidance and support. We teach our pupils to appreciate the hard work, the sacrifice and the unconditional love of their devoted parents. The pupils were given the assignment to make handicraft gifts for their parents to express their love to their mothers and fathers. Every pupils had a hand in decorating their classrooms to welcome their parents and families. Creative artworks, paintings, mobils and crafts were beautifully displayed together with their science projects. During the exhibition tour of their classrooms, pupils presented their handmade gifts to their happy parents. The theme of our exhibition was 'The Supermarket'. Each class focused on a specific topic such as 'Toys', 'Food Pyramids', 'Fruits & Vegetables', 'Coolest Fashion', 'Sports Fashion' and 'Fashion Accessories.' Parents were full of pride to see their children's creative art and crafts. The Art Exhibition was a great success, the response from parents was fantastic. The pupils were extremely excited and proud to show their 'masterpiece'. The sports event started off with the March Pass followed by the National Anthem. The pupils sang songs to entertain their parents and guests. They recited the 'ikrar' and the school pledge. Followed by the exercise routine workout to the delight of their parents. The highlight of the day, was the mass drill dedicated to parents ' Nobody But You.' The pupils gave an excellent performance. Parents were full of admiration to see how well the children performed. Parents and families cheered and encouraged the children participating in the team games. Young and old joined in the fun. Trophies were presented to all the pupils after their games. Many took photos during the whole events. The Challenging Games created a lot of laughter and excitement. It was very amusing to watch the parents competing with one another. Everyone had a great time. The winners received the trophies. The hampers for the parents event were sponsored by Giant Supermarket.
